A developing sketch that I was toying with painting based on an imaginary painting described by Alfred Jarry in his book Dr Faustroll, which is ejaculated out of a painting machine... There are a few things I'd need to work out as I want the feeling of the painting to be more abstract, so I'd need to create something more stylised for the figure and guitar in the foreground.

Originally intended just as a model to work out a template for a 'proper version' to be made from a single piece of folded card, the impulsiveness and chaos proved hard to recreate, and the carelessness grew to be one of its most defining features.
