In Alfred Jarry's Exploits & Opinions of Dr Faustroll, Pataphysician, a Painting Machine ejaculates thirteen paintings onto the walls the Palace of Machines beneath Paris. Nabuchodonosor Changé en Bête (Nebuchadnezzar Changed into Beast) is the first, described as below. 

What a beautiful sunset! or rather is it the moon, like a porthole in a hogshead of wine larger than a ship. The sky is a sulphurous gold, so red that there is really nothing missing but a bird flying five hundred metres high wafting us a breeze from the clouds. The architecture, the very type of these flames, is lively and rather moving, even romantic.
